Doe Show Rules

Mail in entry deadline is June 7. Entries are accepted by computer, text/call, or in person  no later than 2 hours before show begins.
RULES
1.  ADGA Rules shall govern.                                                                                                                                          
2.  These shows are open to all exhibitors and shall consist of 1 Senior doe and 1 Junior doe show per ring. The Senior doe and the Junior doe shows are separately sanctioned.                                                      
3.  Breeds sanctioned are Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Oberhasli, Recorded Grade, Saanan, Sable, and Toggenburg.    Judges will give reasons up to the first 5 per class, any questions about your animal can be asked after the show.                 
4.  The animals will show : Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian, Nubian, Oberhasli, Recorded Grade, Saanen, Sable, Toggenburg in all rings;however, the order is subject to change.  If complications occur that the show committee and judgeswill agree upon changes.   This includes time show begins, and ends.      The animals will not change rings, the judges will switch rings. Please, if you have a  tie out chain, bring it to keep animals at location, to move the show along.                                                                               

5.  Sanctions have been applied for.                                                                                                                          
6.  Goats may arrive after 8am on Friday, June 14, 2019 and must be in place at least a half hour before their scheduled show begins.                     

7.  A registration or recordation certificate shall be required at time of check in.  Photocopies will not be accepted.  Animals 6 months or younger may be shown on an ADGA stamped duplicate.            
8.  Base date for computing age will be 6-14-2019.                                                                                                     
9.  There will be no pre-show milkout; however, over-distended udders will be discriminated against.                  

10.  Dress is optional.  (White is Preferred)                                                                                                                 

11.   Goats entered at owner's risk the Southwest Missouri Dairy Goat Association nor any of it's members will be leld responsible for injury, illness, damage or theft of animals, or properties.                                                      12.   Single entry fees are $6.00 per animal per ring . If entering 1-9 animals in all 6 rings $5.00 a goat per ring, 10-19 goats in all 6 rings $4.00 a goat per ring  and 20 or more in all 6 rings $3.00 a goat per ring.  Pen fees are $4.00 per pen (if you clean your pens and are checked out by Show Committee pen fees will be returned in).  You may show off your trailers.Please indicate on the entry form how many pens you need there are areas available for tack, please do not request tack pens. If you take extra pens, please pay for them, as we have to! Any straw, chips,  or hay bedding will be accepted in pens.   The fairboard will do daily walk throughs and you will be charged for any pens with anything at all in them, including coolers, or chairs.

13.  All animals entered must be identified and listed on current health certificate.                                         

14.  A committee will inspect all animals, any obviously sick or goats showing  signs of any contagious diseases will not be allowed to remain on the grounds, and must be trailered.

15.  Pens will be assigned! If there are extra pens at the show, the you may request them and pay for them.                                                                                                      

16.  The show committee has the authority to control improper or disruptive behavior of exhibitors inside or outside the show ring to maintain the proper progression of the show.                             

17.  Camping facilities are available,but arrangements need to be made in advance, this must be done through the Newton County A&M Society, and pay them directly.    

18. Absolutely No refunds or discounts except as listed!                 

*Refunds may be made to any person willing to pull their Jr doe upon receiving a leg, or Sr. Champion from remaining rings after they finish.  The SMDGA Show Committee reserves the right to make changes as deemed necessary to secure a fair and enjoyable show.

19. All Registration Papers for the animals showing must be on the table by the show secretaries at least 15minutes prior to the show starting. Also to help our show secretaries please don’t have papers sleeved back to back. If you would perfer you can leave your whole show book at the table.

20. The show order is subject to change! Some conditions of change may include:  judges are not able to be there/or start a ring on time, the judges need to change the order to ensure flights,or changes that can better improve the overall show.  Any changes will be with the approval of that days judges.
